Serbian Ministry of Culture initiated the project "Fortress on the Danube", which is implemented within a regional program for the cultural heritage of Southeastern Europe and UNESCO, entitled "Cultural Heritage-bridge to a common future." The project aims at the development times of culture, which should connect into a single whole community on the Danube - Bac, Novi Sad, Belgrade, Smederevo, Golubac Veliko Gradiste and Kladovo - Heritage representative of the fortress and the fortified towns on the Danube and help this important the potential to be placed in function of development of local communities.
